Cher is a simple file sharing utility that allows you to share your files with others. Launching the program will enable you to set a directory path for files you wish to share. Select a port to share these files on and then select to listen. After this is done, others can connect to your IP address on your SHARE port and select files to download, and visa versa.
This is a beta version of the software. There are known bugs in it. If I have my code correct, the only files that can be downloaded are those you specifically set to share. You can connect to yourself to get a list of what you are sharing.
I don't send any data to my servers while this program is in use. The only time I get any info is when you download the program from my website. This is limited to standard referrer information that comes with all website logs.
The software is FreeWare, defined as software that you can use as often as you like. You agree not to violate any laws with regards to the use of this software. Violating law violates the terms of service provided by this software. You may only use this software for the purpose in which it is intended. Reverse compiling, alteration, modifications to, or distribution of this software is not allowed. WWW.ACMENEWS.COM is the only website from which this software may be distributed. Other distributions are out of my control and may be prone to virus, trojan, or other type of problems.
This software is licensed AS-IS. It may cause harm to your computer, as Windows is not a very reliable operating platform. This software should not be installed in any "mission critical" system.
